In April 2019, Steinweg Latin America and Atlantic Brokers have joined forces and established STEINWEG BROKERS, to further expand the brokering services within the West Coast of South America. Commercially managed from Santiago, the joint venture today employs 8 dedicated brokers to canvass both the cargo and tonnage markets in Chile, Peru, Colombia and Ecuador, adding to the already existing network of 25 brokers combined. During 2021, this cooperation expanded further into Brazil and added a team of 9 brokers sitting in Sao Paulo, focusing on expanding our presence in Brazil.

Our primary focus is to service industrial clients with freight authority in the region, as well as covering the Time Charter market derived from such volume. We fix around 10 million tonnes per year of cargo exclusively within the joint venture and in excess of 25 million tonnes per year combined between C. Steinweg Group and Atlantic Brokers. This joint venture allows us to offer a broader and more competitive service to both our existing and new customers alike.
